At Grouse Mountain Tyee Ski Club, we know great athletes come from great coaches. That’s why we’re committed to building an environment where our coaches can thrive, grow, and make a real impact on the next generation of skiers.
Through our professional development program, we invest in your growth as a coach. In partnership with BC Alpine and the Canadian Ski Coaches Federation (CSCF), we offer ongoing training and workshops focused on:
- Communication and leadership
- Adolescent growth and development
- Technical and tactical skill building
- The psychology of coaching
- Competition preparation
- Physical training and conditioning
- Seasonal planning and progression
As you excel in our program, Tyee supports your advancement by contributing toward official CSCF certification upgrades.
New to coaching?
No problem. Each December, BC Alpine runs CSCF Entry Level courses right here on Grouse Mountain. After completing the course, you’ll gain hands-on experience during your first season through a coaching practicum, putting you on the path to becoming EL Certified.
Join us at Tyee and help shape the future of ski racing while building your own skills in a supportive, high-performance community.
To learn more about the opportunities at our club please check out some basic requirements and expectations for each of our difference levels here.
