2026/2027 Season Registration
Membership and Program
Welcome back, Tyee racers! We’re fired up to have you on the roster for another season of speed, precision, and pushing limits. This program is built on technical excellence, competitive grit, and the pursuit of faster lines, and we can’t wait to see you attack the course, deliver your best on every run, and elevate your racing this season.
Registration Deadline: Sunday, May 10, 2026
Important Notice:
Only active Tyee members and invited new members are eligible to register. Registrations that do not meet these requirements will be refunded minus a $100 administrative charge.
Fee Structure Overview
- Tyee Family Membership — One per family, regardless of how many athletes are registered in the program. (Fee will go up by $100 after May 10, 2026)
- Program Deposit — Equal to 30% of last season’s full program fee. The remaining balance will be due in October once the new season’s program fees are finalized. We work hard to keep our fees affordable, reasonable, and competitive; however, with ongoing inflation, families should anticipate a modest increase.
- BC Alpine / Alpine Canada Insurance — Required for all athletes. This fee is set by BC Alpine and Alpine Canada. A small adjustment may occur once the official 2026/2027 insurance rates are released.
Tyee Family Membership fee
Your Tyee Membership Fee provides essential access to the club and its community, including:
- Eligibility for all Tyee alpine programs
- Use of the Tyee cabin as a home base on training and race days
- Participation in club events, meetings, and community activities
It serves as your family’s gateway to the full Tyee experience and supports the operations that make our programs possible.
tyee Program Fee
The program fee supports the full delivery of your athlete’s alpine training experience. It includes:
- Professional coaching for all scheduled training sessions throughout the season
- On‑snow training following the age‑appropriate LTAD (Long‑Term Athlete Development) pathway
- Dryland training in the preseason (varies by age group)
- Christmas, Spring, and regular‑season training blocks as outlined for each program
- Race day coaching and support at designated events
- Program planning, administration, and coordination
- Access to weekday and/or weekend training, depending on the program level
BC Alpine Membership & Insurance
Siblings of Grouse Mouintain Tyee SKi Club Athlete are required to buy BC Alpine insurance.
- Membership Requirement: Everyone who uses the Tyee Cabin during practice and to participate in any club activities (on-snow or off-snow), even casually, must be registered members of BC Alpine. This applies not just to racers, but also to parents and siblings.
- Liability Protection: The insurance protects the club, coaches, volunteers, and the organization from liability if an accident occurs. Even if a sibling is not a racer, if they are on the hill with the group, riding lifts, or participating in a sanctioned event, they need to be covered.
- Accident Coverage: The insurance provides accident and injury coverage for participants. If a sibling is skiing with the club and gets hurt, the insurance ensures medical costs and claims are handled properly.
- Fairness & Compliance: BC Alpine requires that all individuals skiing under the umbrella of a registered club be insured through them. Clubs don’t have the flexibility to waive this—if someone skis with the club but isn’t insured, it exposes everyone (the family, coaches, and the club) to risk.
What is not covered
- Race Fees — Race entry fees and any additional coaching expenses dedicated specifically to race events are not included.
- Lift Passes — Athletes must have their own valid Grouse Mountain pass; this is not part of any club fee.
- Additional Training Camps (primarily for U14+ programs) — Travel, meals, accommodation, lane space, and lift passes for camps are not covered.
