Hebron House League
Tyee has created an intramural-style House Cup league for our athletes, which will build upon our Tyee spirit, create opportunities for athlete leadership and mentorship, promote teamwork between age groups, and allow for tons of Tyee fun!
Our House League is named the Hebron House League in remembrance of Rod "Yogi" Hebron, a former Grouse Tyee member and 10-year member of the Canadian Alpine Ski Team who sadly passed away in 2023.

    Honouring Yogi Hebron
Yogi Hebron was a two-time Olympian and a 14-time Canadian national championship medalist — earning 8 Gold, 5 Silver, and 1 Bronze. He also placed in the top 5 at two World Cup events, among many other impressive achievements. Beyond his athletic success, Yogi was a passionate leader and mentor who shared his skills, character, and love for alpine skiing with the Canadian ski community.
To celebrate Yogi’s legacy and the core Tyee values — excellence, expertise, teamwork, fun, sportsmanship, friendship, and inclusion — we proudly present the Yogi Hebron Trophy to the winning team of the Hebron House League each season.
House Team Assignment
All athletes from U8 to U16 have been placed into Hebron House Teams.
- Green Team
- Blue Team
- Red Team
- Yellow Team
Each athlete stays on the same team throughout their time with Tyee. Families with multiple athletes will notice their children are placed on the same team.
U16 athletes will take on leadership roles as team captains, helping build team spirit and lead their house. Teams will earn points by participating in fun events throughout the year — like the Orientation Run and other competitions.
At the end of the season, the team with the most points will be awarded the Yogi Hebron Trophy!
