Volunteer Requirements
Tyee is a non-profit organization run by our members. Only our coaches and one part-time administrator are paid. Our success depends on the many volunteer hours that parents donate to the Club. We have the good fortune to have dedicated and enthusiastic volunteers who work together in teams and have fun doing it.
Minimum Volunteer Commitment
Every family in the Club is expected to volunteer a minimum of 40 hours each season, which can include:
- Work shifts in the Tyee kitchen.
- Donate one item to the silent auction.
- Help with on-snow safety.
- Set up and tear down training courses.
- Help at club races (skiing skills not necessary).
- For U14 and U16 families, chaperone one trip.
Volunteering is necessary for the functioning of our club, but it is also a great way to meet other members and to see your young athletes developing new skills and friendships.
